PHPMyAdmin Update

So I have PHPMyAdmin 3.5.5 and it says the latest version is 4.0.0 but I'm having trouble figuring out how to update it.

I downloaded that thing, but I'm not sure what to do next.

I put the files in my xampp folder, but now when I try to use localhost/phpmyadmin it takes me to a login page, but won't accept no password since I never set up a password. So how do I fix that?

If you are refering to phpMyAdmin in x10hosting's shared server account's cPanel - you can not do it

While you can install the current version of phpMyAdmin in your account (not cPanel) - you will at sometime get hit with HRU errors
