Okay, so I went and re-did my website according to the suggestions made by other members. How do you think it looks now? Any constructive criticism would be appreciated.

The site is: http://bigtree.elementfx.com

Thank you in advance!
Edit:
By the way... thanks to all the people who reviewed my old site!

It's great to see that you've taken some suggestions on board. ;) The page looks a lot better now, since it's actually centered on the page, as apposed to in the left corner like it was previously (I think). You've also increased the size of the text at the bar at the top, which is much better. I personally don't mind the whole black/green type of theme either, I don't exactly think you've gone too overboard on that.

You've got some validation errors that you should fix up.
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://bigtree.elementfx.com/ for xHTML and
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http://bigtree.elementfx.com/ for CSS

The tabs in games.htm turn the same colour as the text on hover, this might be browser specific though; what browsers are you testing this in? Other than that... I suppose more content is always a good thing.

Loos very nice!

The only problems that I can see are the "click here" text going over the right side of the box and the overlap of the search div/box with the main box as well.

I first thought that the
>> fun >> games >> movies etc. was the navigation which confused me a bit.
Also, try changing the background color of the links where when you hover over them you get more.
Overall I would give it a 7/10.

My Suggestion cut back on images in tables.

Divid the table up in more blocks & use table background colors or CSS to color up ur background. Also on the links. They are in a black background & sorta hard to see. Maybe define where the links are better. Also Sublinks i would put a border to really define them since the over lay other text on ur site & it also have a hard background color to make out.

Other then that i would say ur site looks fine.

Here is my site for some CSS & Table ideas or layout/look
i cut down on dividing tables cause i had a complaint of CTRL + MOUSE (up or down) function on firefox. to increase the size of text on pages. on Opera which i use it increases & decrease the whole page not just text. So i changed my layout like 10 different times & restuctured everything.

To get into my site to view it just simply use the unpaid or paid test accounts

I like the colours, but perhaps a bit bright.

It seems to have lots of content

think you need to dim down the logo text and fix up the menu a bit to make it compliment other parts of the design and also, i think i see a big black spot on the right side of the website. try fixing that.

The only suggestion that I have at the moment is that the sidebar menu should be more well defined. When I hover over it, and the menu pops out, it's still black on black, which is kind of odd. It doesn't have the same feel when it's like that.

Hope that made sense.

Comments:
* There are some HTML and CSS validation errors:
* * http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http://bigtree.elementfx.com/index.htm
* * http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/...=0&uri=http://bigtree.elementfx.com/index.htm
* The stuff in the header does look too much like a menu
* There is a hole in the border to the right of the Google search box.
* The menu should be separated from the main content.
* The colour of the expanded bit of the menu could be changed.

I quite like the design. Well done.

The design looks good I would give it 7/10 the only problems I can see are:

•The Border has a hole in it. (As said by TechAsh)
•On the downloads page the images is going over the border and needs moving.
•On the games page the navigation bar does not work properly.

Overall I think the site has a good design just the few errors I have listed need fixing.

PS it is the background colour of the search box, and I don't know how to get rid of it.

constructive suggestion: i think you should work on your menu bar because it's not very readable.

As deadbattery said i first thought that >> fun >> games >> movies are all navigation bar,so i tried to click there.

I think you can increase the readability of your navigation bar...
Otherwise good.... nice green theme and neat layout :)

Thank you, but when you say "readability", what do you mean?

I agree with some of the other posts above

The css styling on the menu on the left is not defined enough and could do with a border? (same green)

I've noticed that your main font colour is not quite as bright as the gree in the top.

I like the top - it's bright and has a good 3D effect to it.

I have always been told that you should use between 3 and 4 colous in a site - 3 main and 1 highlight.

i.e. A black background - Bright Green Lettering (as you have), maybe a light green to compliment it and a contrasting highligh colour (suchas yellow)

Apart from that, I too thought that the links were at the top - is this going to happen?

Apart from that, I thought that the site generally looks good.
