The animated gifs definitely slow down the page load time, and to me, they could just as well be used as non-animated graphics.
I would also use a color more complementary to the green header in the sidebar, but that's just me. A neutral gray is the easy choice, but I think it would look much better as maybe another shade of green or another color that matches well.

Okay, it's fine but just go for what kinley3 said. I've seen your mobile phone section and there you have left about 200px space on the left. Left part is the most important for a website builder cause we start looking from there. You should fill that space by showing some more catalog or popular products section. If you like my suggestion then don't forget to give me reputation.
