I need to know what ports are open that I can have my block go through to reach a ventrilo server and relay back to me that the server is up and how many members and what not it has. The original port is blocked on x10hosting so I was wondering what ports I could use. And I already know they won't open up any ports for me I'm just looking for ports that are already opened.

Port 80 would be a good place to start, obviously it's open.
