hi all

i've seen some posts here about placing the x10 ads on coppermine galleries, but none relevant to my particular problem.

Basically, I have used coppermine (at http://dyl.x10hosting.com/cpg133/ ) to organise my collection of photos. I want to start personalising the appearance of the site by creating my own theme. I have successfully duplicated one of the 'stock' themes to modify, and the first thing I did was add the x10hosting ad code, so that it would load on each page automatically.

My problem is that I would like to position the ad next to my title graphic, to integrate it more with the design than it is at present. You can see by visiting the site that the x10 ad shunts the rest of the design down a tad too much, and looks inelegant.

thanks in advance for any tips or advice, and thanks to x10hosting for offering such a fantastic service!

Just edit your theme. The template.html on it. That's what I did.

I tried putting it in there... if you look at the source of my theme at:

http://dyl.x10hosting.com/cpg133/themes/bassnote/template.html

you will see I have placed the code next to the title, in the top part of the page. However, it always goes in the top left corner no matter what I try!

can you post your ad code (assuming you are on the Advanced plan?)... possibly in context of a coppermine template.html file?!

I will have a look at your site too to see if I can get any pointers

Cheers :coolugh:

ps. any other help is much appreciated!

The template.html files are always different, but I'll try to explain you.
Just add right below to the <body> tags, <center> (this is optional) and the ad code, as it is on the ad zip package.

I'm at work at the moment, but I'll give it another go when I get home. I have a feeling the ad code snippet I am using may be out of date, or in need of some positioning using div tags and/or CSS.

Cheers for the timely reply!

OK so this is actually really frustrating now!

If you check on my site at http://dyl.x10hosting.com/cpg133/ , you will see a Google as well as a text link.

I've managed to get the text link in the right place (for the Advanced plan compliance). But for some reason, there's a Google banner showing in the top left no matter what?!

Can anyone talk me through this? I got to this stage by editing template.html.

I used the ad code from the stuck thread initially, then the one from the zip file. STILL no joy :-/
