Possible .htaccess problem

Whenever I try to change the redirects, cPanel gives me a message that says there is an error with my .htaccess file. I am not sure what to do.

Permissions issue, fixed.

Edit: Quick clarification, I don't think it was anything you had done. Somehow you were no longer the owner of your .htaccess which stopped cPanel from being able to change it. Got it reassigned to you; should work now
