Private site, HELP

Hi,

I have Motorola C350 moble phone. I normally start my Server on my computer and download MIDI files (Tones) from my computer. Lately I have been bosting around about the cool tones I have... I thought of putting it up. Its a private site with is own domain (addon domain). I got the MIDI files off the net... (Here and there) but I don't think most of them are allowed to be distributed. So I made is a password protect site so only I can access from my phone. I want to know if this MIDI files are ok to be on the server. Really there is no way to view then without entering the password. I can't be starting my computers server all the time.... The main reason is that I have run out of space on my phone so I need the MIDI's to be avalable so when I need to show off I can access the file(s) and download them temporaly and show off

If you dont think that most of them are allowed to be distributed then that means there probably copyright, which isn`t allowed on x10hosting servers. Does that clear it up for you ?

This includes copyrighted works, commercial audio, video, or music files, and any material in violation of any Federal, State or Local regulation. You may not store copyrighted Mp3s on your webspace in any way shape or form.

I know there not mp3`s but if the midi is copyright then I would think no.

I don't think many midi's are copyrighted though, so I would say your are fine, but I'm not because I'm probably wrong.

The problem is that the site/folder is for personal use only. None else can access it. So there for I don't think I will be re-distrebuting it. I hope this means that its like storing a MIDI on a computer. The only MIDI (Coolest one) that many be copyrighted is the Shalalala by Vengaboys that I got off the internet. But still none can access it nor see its name .

I hope Corey can give some help on this problem... There should be a lawer at x10hosting to help me/us with legal issues

Well the account is use for my softwares/games. I just want the midi's to be avalable for me to download them and play them on my phone.

Edit: Fire Wolf, OMG! Thanks. Anyway I uploaded 7 midis now but my phone says "Data Server Unavalable". In other words there is a timeout. Is the x10hosting server slow today?
