Problem when installing Joomla! 1.7

I have a problem, when i've tried to install Joomla 1.7 from the auto-script installer, I get an error that said "The INFO.XML file could not be found! Please report this to the server administrator." Any idea why? and how can you or I can fix it?

Hi, I suggest using the Joomla! Installer from their website. Our auto installer is currently facing issues.
