I registered for an Ad-free account here. I wanted to install vBulletin but, during the course of the installation when it comes to Step 3, it gives me SQL error 1044 which looks something like this:-

Database error in vBulletin :

Cannot use database digineo

MySQL Error : Access denied for user 'digineo'@'localhost' to database 'digineo'
Error Number : 1044
Date : Friday, October 19th 2007 @ 02:22:10 PM
Script : http://digineo.pcriot.com/forums/install/install.php?step=3
Referrer : http://digineo.pcriot.com/forums/install/install.php?step=2
IP Address : 124.7.85.69
Username :
Classname : vB_Database_MySQLi

as it goes, my database name is digineo, also my username is digineo.
my cPanel username-digineo
subdomain - digineo.pcriot.com

Any help would be appreciated.

The real database name (if your cPanel username is digineo) would be digineo_digineo, and the username that you added on to it (following your cPanel username) would be digineo_digineo. These are the values you should put into vBulletin.

Did you make a database and user in cPanel, assign it all privileges; you can't just use your cPanel login data.

If you did, make sure you do use your cPanel username before the username and database name.
