I've got dokuwiki running on my site. It worked great for awhile but now when I try to use the site it gives me an error on how it cannot open up certain files for writing. So I went to go change permissions on those files and when I do it through the file manager it just behaves strangely and switches back to 755. When I do it through ftp it says operation not permitted. Being a wiki site I need it to chmod atleast to 666 or 777. My site account name is pilph, and I have a free ad-free account. the site is pilph.pcriot.com

With PHPSuexec on you can't set executable files to 777. If you tell us which files you need to set to 666 we can set them for you.

As far as what I can tell from my current error messages is everything under ym/data/cache needs to be set to 666. I also need the same thing done under cs360/wiki/data/cache.

I have had the exact same thing happen with my dokuwiki as well. User number 99 has taken ownership of many files and directories so I don't have permission to change or edit anything...

It has happened to all the bottom level directories in /home/ronin/www/data/attic, data/cache, data/meta and data/pages

Would it be possible to change ownership back to me?

Pilph -- I chmodded your files that you stated and re-owned all your files to you.

Roninkelt -- I reowned all your files to you.
