Problem with pictures

I have a few pictures on my site and I uploaded those pictures but they are not shown when I open site.Does anyone know what can be a problem and does pictures need to be in specific format?

Where did you upload your pictures?
All the files need to be uploaded in your public_html directory.

I uploaded them in home/aleksaas/public_html but they are not shown when I open site.

Try to upload them again. What did you use to upload them?

Your FTP information should be:
Server: 74.86.116.190
Port: 21 (Default)
Username: Your cPanel username.
Password: Your cPanel password.

Remember to upload the files under your public_html directory.
