I installed woltlab burning board 3.0.5 but I can't access the admin control panel. I only get a blank screen. Does anyone know what I can do? I tried to set CHMOD 777 but doesn't work. Is there maybe a problem with PHP? Thanks for any reply.

greets, phex

Could you please post the error?

Its difficult to diagnose a problem related to a third party software application without the error.

There appears no error message. The frontend works well, but when I try to log on the acp, there only appears a blank screen.

Can you give the link to the admin page? Please read the manual page for that particular cms. May be you are asked to perform some other action like, removing install directory, or change permission settings etc.

I haven't found a thing about this. I installed it on xampp at home and there it works without problems. I did the same here and it doesn't work. The install-files are removed automatically, the permissions I already changed to 777 but normally this is not necessary

Edit: I guess I found what the problem is. I checked the Error Log in cPanel.
There is a problem with PHP.

[Fri May 09 14:36:30 2008] [error] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx(my ip)] ALERT - function within blacklist called: exec() (attacker 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx(my ip)', file '/home/phex/public_html/aphex.ath.cx/board/lib/acp/page/IndexPage.class.php', line 133), referer: http://board.aphex.ath.cx/acp/index.php?form=Login&packageID=38&d846e453

I already have PHP on level 2.

* Moved to free hosting. This may be an account problem and the account managers will notice your thread there. It still sounds like there is an error with php, maybe your account is having problems upgrading.

The exec function is disabled on free hosting accounts because it is a massive security risk.

Can you upload the IndexPage.class.php file please?

Sure, here it is. View attachment IndexPage.class.zip

Edit: I guess, I found it: at the end is an uptime and serverload request to the server. This works with the exec function. I just removed it and now it works. I guess my problem is solved. Thank you all very much for helping me.
