So basically i had the domain area2007.com but i changed the forum topic so i bought a new domain and have put that on my new forum however when loading up my site http://rockettechnology.net/ i go to forum but it redirects to http://area2007.com/index.php?action=forum

Can anyone help?

Go to admin area for the SMF and change the "site URL" (or whatever they call it). SMF uses that to create the links on the forum.

Again, go to the SMF site and check the documentation or ask on their support forum.

Sometimes you can edit a configuration file via cPanel.
Sometimes you can edit a database entry via phpMyAdmin.
