Problems seeing file directory in FTP.

Ok im trying to connect to the file sever using Flash FXP. It connects however gives me a Data Socket errer
and List error. I do not see my files either such as index.html. Ive tried to use IE to connect using the username and email sent to me in the email however that does not work either. THe page has been created.. its kyle87.x10hosting.net . I read other posts and understand that it may be something with a firewall or port connection? what connections should i be connecting on using my FTP software? ill also need to forward this port on my router.

you should go to:
ftp.kyle87.x10hosting.net

use the login details that were sent to you

you should then see a bunch of folders. upload everything to the public_html folder

if you are getting errors, double check ur login details. also, ftp could have been down at the time you were trying to use it (doubtful)

make sure your firewall isnt blocking any of your ftp software too...

tried accessing that, put that in IE and in Firefox, both dont load

I think he meant try putting it into your FTP client as your address.

That is weird, I always use browsers to connect to FTPs when I am too lazy to open either SmartFTP or CuteFTP.
