Problems with mysql database

Hey,
I cant access my website and when I go to Cpanel and to mysql this message is appearing:
The MySQL server is currently offline.

Error while connecting to MySQL: (XID s2x57c) Database Connect Error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111) Error while connecting to MySQL: (XID s2x57c) Database Connect Error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111) at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Mysql.pm line 174.

What can I do to correct this?
