Proxy and port 80 requests.

Is there a way to tell or a list or such that we can be aware what plugins etc will affect the TOS, proxy and port 80 as there is no way I wish to install something that will get me banned?

I'm not aware of any true list around here, but if you ask about a piece of software here, we'll gladly tell you anything you should need to know about it. Truthfully, your best bet to avoiding any software-related TOS issues is to check out the software offered in Softaculous, found inside of cPanel. All of the software in there is free to use and is basically approved by x10.

As for the Port 80 issue, we're sorting out what needs to get unblocked as people post up about it. Right now commonly used software such as Wordpress and SMF should work just fine through Port 80, as well as the Anti-spam service Akismet.

I think my difficulty lies in wordpress plugins as some seem to access things they shouldnt and newbs like myself and our sites end up in trouble...
