Do either of these programs come for Macs?
If not, what would you recommend to use?

Yes they're available; however, if you don't plan on doing extreme graphics making, I suggest Paint.NET. Paint.NET is one of the best freeware image editing programs I've ever used. I use it primarily to crop photos and such since it only takes a second to load (as opposed to CS2's 8 seconds)

I have both PaintShop Pro and Paint.net, and while PaintShop Pro is more advanced with more features, for most of what I need Paint.net does it faster.

You can teach yourself alot about photoshop just using tutorial sites, and having good imagination (i lack this). And ya photoshop was a mac version and many people say it works best on a Mac. I've never tested but i can believe it :)
