question regarding tos

Dear sir,

I have read the TOS of your site and have a question. My site is a small image hosting site (512kb file size limit and 1024 MB bw limit/account) and I was wondering if I am allowed to host it on your server, considering that It will not use the resources excesively.

Your TOS states:

"Personal account holders are not permitted resell, store or give away web-hosting services of their website to other parties. Web hosting services are defined as allowing a separate, third party to host content on the owner's web site."

Good question, I would say no but I would like to hear what an admin says

I would highly doubt that it would be allowed, as I remember reading that the sites must have content.

Nobody can be certain what others will upload. doing so can determine x10's fate. i would do it. x10 has to follow the datacenters rules.

The script which i use for image hosting allows me to see what users upload. Their ips are also stored so i can easily ban people who upload. I spend around 1 hour daily checking everything what is uploaded. Because i offer less than other image hosts not that many people will use it and I can keep it under control.

reselling or giving away your site really means letting people take over your cpanel and have access to all your resources within. I dont think it would be a problem if this is part of a forum or software you have installed as long as they are not inside cpanel and changing things all around. hmm, might be safe to get an admin opinion though.

Hmm...

Image hosting isn't actually reselling and the script used doesn't have anything to do with cPanel. It just let's users register an account, and logs the user ip and the images an user has uploaded. Based on those logs I ban all the users who don't comply to the TOS which i will place on the site.

If it is strictly image hosting than no this is not allowed. If its through a legitamate forum then thats fine.

how is letting people upload pics letting them take over your cpanel?? LOL!

anyway why would you want a image hosting site? there are hundreds of them on the net already, just a waste of time...
