Quick ways to get points

I'm kinda new to the credit system and I would like to know if anyone else knows how you can gain points really quick. I've seen someone over the forums that has around 200 posts and 5000 points! I don't see how that was possible but I would how as I am planning to purchase a domain with these points within the next 2 years.
