I found an article <<HERE>>. What this is saying is that animals are a species too and they should be treated equally as humans. I believe in this too, but some things are necessary for animal testings. HIV and AIDS solutions need to be tested, preferably on humans with HIV or AIDS but that could cause financial instability. So they use animals, which to SOME extent is okay.

I think that what they are doing and what they say they are doing are two completely different things. They are taking it too far. Just like the stem cell research.

Hah we aren't going for enough. There are plenty of animals out there (excluding those rare ones). And personally, I would rather let an animal go under testing than any human. People in this country are too caught up in ethics; we are the wusses of the world, honestly. All other nations are MUCH farther ahead in stem cell research, etc. Only until they make a major breakthrough, the U.S. will catch on..

Apparently, the U.S. thinks that regrowing a functional human jaw with stem cells, surgically attaching it to a patient who lost their jaw to a flesh eating disease, and regaining functionality with it is not enough evidence that stem cells are beneficial.. people need to open up their minds.

Exactly. Animals are not out equals. If we have the chance to save human lives at the cost of animals, then so be it. To let humans die just so we can have a clean conscience in relation to animals is just plain ignorant and idiotic. :rant2:

Yes, but if we kill ALL the cute and fluffy animals, there will be no more cute and fluffy animals! Besides, humans produce at an extremely quick rate and if we don't die, then the world gets overpopulated and all our resources are gone and all the good people who were previously healthy will have nothing because the sick ones will have used them up...you catch my drift where I am going with this?

Do you think we'll honestly kill ALL the "cute and fluffy" animals? It's not like biologists go out and hunt down species to extinction.. they just take a few, and just breed them.. it's no loss to nature. You think humans produce at a quick rate? Animals reproduce MUCH faster than we do.. and the main reason we are doing space exploration is so we can find another planet to later inhabit.

By the way, not all animals are "cute and fluffy". This description can probably only be applied to domesticated dogs and cats.. all other animals are NOT cute and fluffy. If you keep that mindset, I hope you don't go mountain climbing or camping in a forest.. don't try to hug a bear

I would rather see HUMAN testing... I mean why not? we are killing them off for crimes, why not get some use out of them? They raped and killed women and children, lets test out what would happen with HIV/AID on them, why not? We are going to kill them off anyhow. Lets put them to work, make them give back what they have taken away.

BTW, I think anyone who rapes/kills kids/women is the worst scum..
