Recurring email authorization problems

I have two domains with x10. Both domains have email issues. When checking email, I get the error message: authentication failed. This happens both on my Windows pc and my HP Touchpad. I've checked the log in settings and they seem to be correct. The email accounts will work fine for a while, and then I'll start getting the error messages, and then it will clear up on its own, eventually. If my settings were wrong, I don't think authentication would ever succeed. What I'm getting is random errors.
Also, when sending test messages from my x10 account to my email account hosted by GoDaddy, the email usually goes through but I sometimes get this message:

Your access to this mail system has been rejected due to spam or virus content. If you believe that this failure is in error, please submit an unblock request at http://unblock.secureserver.net
I only get this message when sending mail through x10's mail servers.

Anyone else experiencing these problems? And what's the solution, other than finding a new hosting provider?
