Red5 server status help needed

Hello guys,
Is there any way to check red5 server status like
service red5 status or something like that? where it outputs
red5 is running //if red5 is running
red5 is stopped //if red5 is not running.

??

You could check if the process is running? Based on 'service red5 status' I'm guessing it's unix based? On ubuntu you can do something like ps aux.
