Hello,

I have my own domain registered at united-domains.com. I would like this domain to point to my x10hosting account. In the FAQ I read that for this purpose I need to make the domain name point to the x10hosting DNS. So I have asked my registrar to change the whois entry and to enter the x10hosting DNS (I hope this is right). On his site there is a function for consistency check of the future DNS and this reveals warnings/errors. I would like to have your advice on that:

1. Nameservers are all part of the same AS. I guess there's nothing to be done about it.

2.

The SOA answer is not authoritative ???

3.

  • ns2.x10hosting.com./67.228.168.189
  • ns1.x10hosting.com./208.43.202.204
  • >>> reverse DNS does not match
In your FAQ, your report the following IP adresses for the DNS servers:
ns1.x10hosting.com (74.86.117.243)
ns2.x10hosting.com (74.86.117.241)

Why is there this difference with a DNS look up???

Thanks for your answers, I guess my registrar will call me soon for clarifications ...

The 74.86 IPs are old. The ones shown above, 67.228 and 208.43 are correct.

You need to add the domain to your account before the name servers will report authoritatively for it.
