Regarding paid hosting...

In having my site hosted here at x10 for just a few days, I've noticed quite a few things, both good and bad. I'll start by mentioning that there is obviously no better free host on the Web today; this is outright obvious. However, this does come with its downfalls, the primary one being that x10 is getting -- almost literally -- a thousand new members daily. This creates huge problems when it comes to designing a site that you hope will get respectable traffic.

So, I was wondering, if I upgraded to -- say -- the Static plan, will this problem be alleviated? By this I mean, are paid accounts hosted on a seperate -- much faster -- server? I'd be more than willing to pay seventy dollars per year to have the incredible functionality that x10 offers without the speed issues...

Yes, the paid accounts are on a separate server.

Yes, there are way less people on the paid server when compared to the free servers. I can tell you that there are little, if not 0, days when the paid server is having an issue. I find it to be well worth the money.

Yamik is one of our paid members and has been for quite some time now

The paid server will always be better just for the fact that there is rarely any type of abuse since we actually have a real link to the people using the account. No spamming, phishing sites, script abuse, etc... It's been quite a while since there have been any issues with the paid hosting.
