Rejected because Account user name already in use

I got through to step 7 or 8 only to find my account locked because user name was already in use. I think it (the software) should have told me that at the end of step 2 to avoid this... Hey I'm a newbie but I do want to get started...

You can register again by using another username. In the meantime, I'll give a word to the developers about this improvement to the sign-up process.
