Just follow the steps below and you can remove the unread email notification in login screen:-
1- Backup your registry before you modify your registry.
2- Click Start -> Run -> type regedit> Enter.
3- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >SOFTWARE >Microsoft >Windows > CurrentVersion >UnreadMail
4-If you do not have a "UnreadMail" entry create one (right click on "CurrentVersion", then "new")
5- Double-click on "MessageExpiryDays" in the right column and set the value to 0, then click OK. (Note: If "MessageExpiryDays" not exists, just create one (Dword)and set the value to 0)
6- Close your registry editor, reboot your computer and you should not be bothered with MS useless message of " You have "X" unread E-Mails"anymore.
