I already have a MySQL event table, incorporating title, event time and duration. (plus others)
I have searched for a reasonable opensource solution that isn't too complex to integrate without too many problems.
Visually, I would prefer something like

I have installed this myself without problem but am not knowledgeable enough to customise the functionality driving it.
I want to strip out the login and much of the other functionality and then just tie in with my existing data.
A simpler dynamic calendar would be acceptable.
In essence, all I need is Month view and day view, laid out in the whole page (with navigation to previous/next month)
Within each cell would be a list of events (with a hyperlink to detail page)
.css styling needs to easy to alter to suit my site.
(Simple date pickers are not what I need)
The 400 creds will increase infinately until I find a solution which is crucial to the success of my site.
