Resetting cPanel password!

I'd like to reset my cPanel password. It's different from my account password, I tried resetting my account password in hopes of overwriting or something but didn't work. I am able to access my cPanel by just clicking on 'Access cPanel' button in the account area, however, I am unable to access ftp/MySQL and other features without my cPanel password.

Note: I don't know if this will help or not, my account was inactive for a long time and when I first registered, accessing forums was required every 30 days!

I am still with same problem! I only found workarounds for ftp; ftp is to create new user (fails for main account authentication coz of invalid password on main account). I tried googling and searching the forums with no use? Any pointers or help?thanks!

I fixed it, for future reference, don't use special characters in your password, it'll work in ur account portal but not in cpanel login!
