Hey guys. I just finally put out Version 1 of my site and am looking at layout tutorials for Version 2.

Anyways, I have a PHPBB forum installed from the phpbb.com, and easy navigation to pages.

awsome site. By any chance is thi s template you have made in photoshop and then just used image mapping to make the links work?

Well, it's because I'm testing Version 2 of the site, and I haven't made the 3 last pages. I am going to put out an under construction art for the other 3 pages.

It's a downloaded template that I tweaked. It's not official, but it's to give me ideas to make in Photoshop.

Anyways, I'm glad you all like my website and I'm really looking forward to getting it out there/

Don't feel bad from the comments below. I've been doing website templates for high companies for 4 years now.

Domain Name:

1) domain name should be short ( I think that strickenstudios.co.nr is a really long domain name)
2) .co.nr is also a url redirection service. the cons to this is that it inhibits SEO. Take a look at your source code by going ot View>Source in your browser. You'll see that .Co.nr has it's name everywhere in it.

Navigation Bar:

1) It's using more images than necessary. This slows down the speed when loaded. For the text, just use text. The Nav bar can be created using lists and no images for each and every link. The same look can be achieved.
2) Great Nav look. I'll just add a hover.

Header:

1) Move the header above the navigation bar.

Content:

1) The background should be changed to white. that makes it easier to read.

Overall Source Code:

Are you using all images for the site??? This is a big NO NO. You should code you site in HTML. I just realized that your site is cut up in images and placed on the page.

Some suggestions:
- Splash screen inconsistent with rest of site (reminds me of MS silverlight for some reason). I think your site would be just as good without it.
- To decrease load times implement a little bit of PHP to load your menu structure up and then include the individual page content.
- Put in some JS that detects whether the "Top ^" link is needed and displays it accordingly.

Nice looking site, just a little slow.
