ReWrite Module is not active

Hello friends...
l just learned that the rewrite module in my service is not active, how can l activate it pls ???

l want to enable rewrite module in apache httpd.conf
thanks....

Its on I use it on my site..did you put this in .htaccess

RewriteEngine On

And rember if its not the base directory to use this:

#  Uncomment following line if your webserver's URL 
#  is not directly related to physival file paths.
#  This is usually not needed.

RewriteBase /forums

How can we understand if this module is installed or not in our server ?
l heard there was a program for this understanding if modrewrite is installed in apache or not ?
What was the name of that script ??? to understand if its installed or not ?

Mod_rewrite is enabled for me...it should for you too as your on the free server also.

Why Double post a earlier post?? ... Seems that we cant understand what your saying or you want a easy way out, people have posted solutions.. please be more considerate next time for others.

friend, l couldnt satisfied thats why l replied the same question.
l am still having trauble with the rewrite module on apache, l still think its not anable on my servers...
as you see from my previouse posts l want to lean how to check if its enable or not , thats why l started this topic.
So Dont be streesss and let others help me..

As blong4life stated, if you are on the free server, it is enabled.

Mod-Rewrite is ENABLED! Just take our word for it. And, what is the code you are having problems with?
