I am a very new customer here and am trying to set up my one email account.

When I send myself an email from another email account of mine("nrenfree@comcast.net"), I receive a "Returned mail" notice with the following error: "Permanent Failure: 550-Callback_setup_failed_while_verifying_<nrenfree@comcast.net>"

My email address is <askbear@bearinc.x10hosting.com>

In my CPanel, I set the "Default Email" address to this address also, so all "unrouted" email is also sent to <askbear@bearinc.x10hosting.com>

I don't know what other settings would be helpful to put here to help solve this issue.:dunno:

I'll be happy to provide what information I can.

Thank you for your assistance,

Nancy

I am using Firefox to send the message.

I hope this info provides more clues as to what might fix the issue. Thank you for your continued assistance.

Mostly Fabulous News!!!

I got YOUR email. I received an email I sent to myself from a GMail account and I received an email I sent to myself from a Yahoo account.

I am still getting the same error when trying to send from a comcast.net account. I tried sending from Comcast's online mail just in case it was some setting I had made in Thunderbird.

*sigh* Things are mostly great. Thank You for all your help. :happysad:

I'm not sure why it doesn't like comcast, I tried looking up the error you're getting but have not been able to find anything about it. I'm going to say the mail server settings are fine if you're able to receive from Google and Yahoo two of the largest mail providers.
