It's the best, but my aching fingers say it's not the easiest. I love throwing money at Adwords to test a site, especially those times when the bids are cheap for a few hours and you can make $100 off $30, but that's not the point.
SEOing a site has been gruelling after finding that some of those nifty SERP checkers get your pages, or whole site, banned at Google. The routine for the day is something like right now, researching competitors and myself while taking a few minutes to socialize here and elsewhere. This is the only site that requires posting and I don't let the social-site-slaves do it for me because there is alot to be learned and deception to avoid. All you need is an assistant doing thier own SEO to your sites, hell, I can screw mine up all by myself.
The moral here is, we have no morals. HA! It's not true, but I find the investment of time and experimentation the better form of advertising when you get all the qualified traffic from search engines.
BTW, anyone ever notice some sites rising in Yahoo and falling out of Google at the same time? The emotional response seems to be Google is turning it's nose up at me if Yahoo is picking up one of the sites.
