Server Error :S

On my website when i try to go onto it it says internal server error. 500.
I recently installed joomla. could that cause it?

Might be.....

You could try un-installing it and then see if your website works.

Change your permissions. This is a permission error. Try changing them to 755.

I found the problem for the server error in the .htaccess file.
Now when i go onto the joomla directory it comes up as file not found "/ what's wrong?
