Server taking ages to load content?

I uploaded a recent version of my index.html. It's been more than a week now and the new index.html page still is not showing. It's still showing the previous one. Is there anything i can do?

Have you made sure that your new file over-wrote the old one that was in there?

Have you cleared your browser's cache?

What is your website so that we can check it?

Also make sure you upload it into the public_html folder.
