I wanted to have an email account with my domain, so I can access it using Microsoft Outlook 2010.
So I created an email account from cPanel X. After logging into the email account, I went to "Mail Client Configuration" (see screen 04). I tried using the "Auto-Configure Microsoft Outlook 2000 for IMAP Access", but it didn't work at all.
So I opened Microsoft Outlook 2010 and went to File > Account Settings > E-mail > New > Add New Account. Simply entering my name, email address, and password didn't work either. So I attempted to "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" (see screen 01).
I entered my name, the email address (tjrana@tjrana.co.cc), account type (IMAP), incoming mail server (mail.tjrana.co.cc), outgoing mail server SMTP (mail.tjrana.co.cc), and login information (username: tjrana+tjrana.co.cc and password). Doing so didn't completely work. What happens is that it can "Log into incoming mail server (IMAP)", but it can't "Send test e-mail message". It says "Send test e-mail message: Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)."
I went to mess around for a while, and even attempted to use different email clients, such as Mozilla Thunderbird. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help is much appreciated! Thank you for your time~
