I am completely new to this stuff and I am an idiot, apparently. I registered a domain name with Verio and they automaticaly set up a hosting account for me, which I have cancelled. I have redirected the domain name's name server info to ns1.x10hosting.com.

Now I have NO IDEA what to do. There is a zone file that i can edit in the Verio site. When I change the name server there, it says

"The domain name delegation requires updating. Changes saved to the zone file will not take effect, until the Authoritative Name Servers are updated to the following: ns19a.nameservers.net"

Furthermore, the zone file has a bunch of IP addresses for mail accounts, and various subdomains. I have not received anything from x10hosting that helps me set up an account, what these addresses should be, etc, nor can I find any very basic info from the forums as to what to do.

What do I have to do from this end. The only thing I see available to me to configure anything is the "confirm domain" button. And the only feedback from this is "the domain name you have chosen is currently unavailable."

I should also say, I never received a confirmation email, but the account is clearly active, since I can log in (see pictures)

Did you put the domain name in your addon domains or parked domains in the cPanel?

So, as I said, I am rather new at this. Don't know what a cPanel is. Is that the same as the account management panel? The only thing it allows me to fill in are a new password, "cofirm personal details" some PHP options, a box that I clicked which says "check if using your own domain name" and "confirm hosting details." I don't have any extensive set of controls. Don't see anything that says "add-on" or "parked." Of note, I have the account management screen, so I guess my account was set up, but I never received a confirmation email. When I click the "confirm domain" button it says domain is not available.

Edit:
Just looked up cpanel on the internet. I have NOTHING like that! Wish I did. I tried to reregister the account, but it said "you already have an account. Use it."
Edit:
OK, so I know a bit more now. I DO have cPanel. Also, I CAN get to the site online. BUt only when I type in the full address of bokehtests.com/index.html. I would very much like to be able to access it via www.bokehtests.com. Any idea how to do this?

When I go to www.bokehtests.com I'm being redirected to "http://bokehtests.com/Site/Introduction.html"

Is that what you wanted? It seems you are learning fairly quickly :)

THanks! Not sure what happened. Tincture of time? Before I had to type in the address specifically, and when I just typed in www.bokehtests.com it would send me to a verio website which advertised domain name hosting. Not sure what happened. But whatever it was seems to have resolved by itself. Sorry to have wasted everyone's time.
