shell_exec() problem

I just went to visit my forum a while ago and was greeted with a lovely white screen. cPanel error log reports this message:

[Mon Mar 03 05:34:06 2008] [error] [client <myip>] ALERT - function within blacklist called: shell_exec() (attacker '<myip>', file '/home/shadfox/public_html/forums/Sources/Subs.php', line 3484)

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but wasn't shell_exec() allowed once you were at the intermediate PHP level?

shell_exec is on level 3 PHP I do believe.

Strange, I've been running it for a fair while and it hasn't had any problems. :dunno:

EDIT: An idea just hit me and I fixed my own problem.
