Hey guys. I am currently having troubles uploading a file to my server because it is too big. The format of the file is .xml. If anyone thinks they can do this and are interested, I will offer store points and/or rep. Please PM me or post in this thread!

I would open it in notepad. Then cut pieces of the text and save it as File1.xml...file2.xml...file 3.xml Hope this helps - thanks chag

What size is the file?
What program are you using to upload it? (FTP? CPanel?)
What error message are you getting?

Honestly, I've never heard of an XML file being too large but if you give a little more info I might be able to figure out what the problem is.

1. 1,223 kb
2. I am using the "xpanel"
3. Following file(s) has been uploaded or removed:

* This file 'vbulletin-language.xml 1239600' has been removed, reason max file size 1048576 reached.

So any ideas of what I can do? I don't think I can do what Chaganlal suggested, because it might screw up the file completly.

So xPanel is giving you the error?

Try using FTP. I haven't had any problems uploading throught that. Check out SmartFTP if you don't have an FTP client.

Alright, I am logged into the client and connected to my server. How do I upload files now?

You double-click the directory you want to put the file in (i.e. public_html) to open it, and then drag the files in. It's all a very simple process.
