Side Banners

Can the banner ads be made to be side banner ads? My website has become incredibly wide now, and thus innaccessible to people who use something other then 1024*768 resolution. This is not a very good situation.
To compensate, I could also add footer ads. Would that help?

x10 requires corporate banner ads at the header of every page.. so.. I doubt you can be an exception to this rule.
