site creation

I try to build a site useing the Ms Publisher (?). Can someone tell me in which location to put the file created so as entering my site not to see: "index of /" and instead show the page i created?

All files for public access should be put in the public_html folder in your hosting account. This means that if you put a file named file.html in that folder it will appear in the root of your domain: http://yoursite.com/file.html
