Site dies when I use "pretty permalinks" in Wordpress

I have the latest install of Wordpress installed and I have set the nameservers on 123-Reg to the correct ones for this host, but whenever I set my http://www.gillrockatansky.co.uk url as Site Address in the Wordpress General Settings the site stops being visible - despite working when I had pointed the domain at my Wordpress install on here. Now I can't even log in to my Wordpress site.

Is there a tutorial on how to set up wordpress so that, using with a paid domain name, it will show www.domainname.com/page as opposed to http://gillrockatansky.x10.mx/wordpress/page ?

Site dies means is it shows the 403 forbidden error, Then goto cpanel and navigate to wordpress folder in filemanager, And change the permissions of the .htaccess from 600 to 644
