Site down with HTTP 500 Internal Server error

My home page is displaying a HTTP 500 Internal Server error:

The website cannot display the page
HTTP 500
Most likely causes:
•The website is under maintenance.
•The website has a programming error.

I have changed nothing.
Nor can I log onto the cPanel either.

Can you please fix this.

Your site is giving database connection error. Check out your database details are correct.
