There are mass account terminations occurring on all the servers at the moment, which is probably causing them to be a bit unstable.

Excessive server use and/or abuse. There are thousands of hosting accounts on each server so the use and/or abuse affects the server. There is also this in the server status page http://status.x10hosting.com/. They say that it's going to take at least a week to run the script to terminate/delete around 50,000 inactive hosting accounts. It's going to affect the servers stability until it's done.
