so I have been trying to download my site as I have made a bunch of changes to the code from when I last backed it up...but each time I get 50 or so files in and ftp fails, during this time I cant access the files via ftp or the site via the url. I am trying to back it up so primarily I can modify it to include the required ads...but as this keeps occurring it doesn't appear to be a possibility, I am on the stoli server (ad enhanced) any help or suggestions are appreciated.

This is usually the case when you have to many connections via FTP. I would suggest limiting the connections to 5 or so. What happens is when you have to many connections going the server temp bans your IP. This usually lasts 15-30 minutes.
hmm...I have my conections limited to 2 and this still occurs, I did note that the server load was generally in the red 9.xx when this would happen to me. should I possibly limit the upload/download speeds too or would this not be causing the problem?
