Site Up and Down Again and Again

I have an index.html in the public_html folder and without any changes to the site it keeps going up and down

It's probably a problem with the server(s). Someone with the staff should be able to fix it if it keeps happening repeatably.

Well, there's no need to contact anyone right now. A staff member should be able to fix it for you, but I'd wait a little while to see if it'll fix itself out.

If you log into the account tab does it say anything about your hosting or your account that maybe relevant?

both the domain that forwards to it - positiveror.com
and itself are doing the same limbo - plitv001.x10hosting.com

Its just if it says its not suspended it just sounded like that the name didnt match the one you're looking at like the 0's are o's or you had a typeo and it came out as pitv001 or something. Was a hope, your domain is doing the same because it simply is redirecting to plitv001.x10hosting.com

so it boils down to something wrong with plitv001.x10hosting.com

I wish I could help you but the fact it still says the domain is available really would say to me that maybe you have p1itv001 (eg a p then a one) or something..

This isn't technically double posted cause that one's in the wrong area of the forum and started with a different issue - his site was redirecting to the x10 front page, but it fixed itself by the time I saw it the first time.


But now that doesn't work either.

Something is seriously buggered methinks :S

Yeah its just the fact it was saying available that had me going..

Im expecting my account to be suspended due to lack of decent working site, but any php files i put on it bring up the download box on a browser and then get my account suspended for "high resource usage" .. even if the php file is as good as empty.. so..

Im just trying to patiently wait for someone to respond to my support plea.

For that leave an html file with the ad code on it (if applicable) that says "I'm currently having some problems with my hosting - the site is under construction"

That should count as having a working website there so you won't get suspended for that while you wait for someone to answer the support plea

Away from the board for a few hours and to have so much input is a blessing.

I guess the paid server will be the way to go. Still, it's strange with the Domain Available thing. Im most surely registered and manipulating the site contents. I guess I'll wait it out.

My level 2 support requests been there a while, I have had no news either.. I was hoping to wake up this morning with the ability to start some serious coding.

Thankfully an account admin who is my hero spent a lot of time helping me this morning, my account got deleted and remade, it still wasnt happy, I now have something going, and php files work, although.. I may have a hint to anyone whos site keeps suspending with high resource usage.. it seems if you try and ftp in a couple of times with a wrong password this sets it..

PS I still had troubles, in fact if I change the domain its on, it goes back to wrong, I cant be on exofire.net or pcriot.com, but x10hosting.com works a treat!
