Honestly, in the class of "sites with large banner/background images and 'modern' designs", that was pretty snappy (it loaded and rendered in under two seconds for me, including the brochure page). Unfortunately, there will be times when things are slow even when there's nothing wrong per se, simply because there are so many accounts on each of the Free Hosting servers. When you're not competing for resources, performance can be very good, but when the server is also busy serving up eleventy-nine forums, wikis, WordPress, Joomla and Drupal sites (all with a thousand or so plugins for this, that and the other), sometimes you just wind up in the queue.
