I am looking for a template for smf smf or mesh that is clean with rounded corners would like it to have side bar and prefer black base with red and white Similar to my current forum (see link below).

Also I would like to get a pint system mod for my forum.

If you know where I could get one please let me know I have been all over google and can't seem to find one like what I am looking for. the closest I came to the template was the amber template and for mod was the shop mod.

Either of these or the phpBB2fm I downloaded the one from phpbb-fm.net but I can't get the install to work. as soon as I upload it on my local host and got it in the web browser I get an error.not sre why.

thanks Doug.

Have you looked through all the templates in the smf site.
I think you will have major problems getting a template with a sidebar for smf because smf doesn't use a sidebar, if you want a sidebar you might have to use something like joomla, and integrate it with smf or make your own template with a sidebar (probably requires editing smf code).

.

Could you please be a bit clearer, because I can't answer or understand any of that.

You could use Tiny portal on your site with one of their themes:

www.tinyportal.net

as long as you aren't using the new beta of SMF. It will give you side bars and they have a lot of nice themes to use as well.

I am talikng about the fully modded phpbb2, If I can get that to work I might continue using it.

I'm a NOOB with smf

How do you install tinyportal?

I can't find the required documentation on it.

Tiny portal is a mod package. Use the package manager.
Edit:
Almost forgot....make sure you are using the default CORE theme when installing. It will NOT install with SMF 2.0 beta 3 public so do NOT try. :)

ok thanks i got it installed.

Another question how do you change the colors of a template? is it hard?

I downloaded the amber template from tinyportal but I want the colors more like the site I built (links below) black, red, white blue, pinkish and purple. i would like it to sorta blend with my portfolio site.

I do know coding for html but never touched php.

most of it is in the style.css file that comes with the theme. Other than that you would have to edit the images themselves but thats not real hard to do if you have or can find someone with photoshop. ;)

you could stick to the default style. I found that it was not that bad at all.
