Hi everyone!

It seems the SMF forum doesn't wokr correctly, at least on my site, as you can see:

http://basketredentore.x10hosting.com/smf/

it just displays a blank page.

Every time someone click on the link though, a new line in the cpanel error log appears:

[Mon Mar 17 12:25:16 2008] [error] [client 151.42.x.x] ALERT - function within blacklist called: shell_exec() (attacker '151.42.x.x', file '/home/theleaf/public_html/smf/Sources/Subs.php', line 3486)

I thought it was a problem in the PHP version (I was on "intermediate") so I requested the updrade to "advanced" (more than a week ago) explaining the problem, but the request is still pending.

Can anyone help me?

shell_exec is disabled for security reasons, it can allow execution of malicious commands.

You'll have to comment out where it is used in the code as I believe it is not needed for the script to work.

Sounds good, I'm going to close this as the issue seems to be resolved. Please re-open or create a new thread if further assistance is needed.
