Smf problems

As softaculous does not support smf 2.0 rc 3 till now as suggested by forum members that if i install it manually there will be on problem.. But i uploaded the smf files at public_html directory and i extractd it , then when i opened my site i got a almost a page full of errors then after sometime i again opened my site and the smf install wizard was asking to be completed as per the instructions i completed the steps but at step 3 i fillled up all boxes but i got a error like this "Call to undefined function db-fatal-error()In/home/MY FTP USER NAME/public_html/Sources/Subs-Db-mysql.php on line 85" so what to do ???and many times im also getting errors like "SMF was unable to connect to the database etc etc i dont remember"

I checked your site, the files are not complete. Try to upload again and extract the files again.

I am using mobile so i use www.Wapftp.org to upload the files from but when i try to extract then i get a time out error any alternative ways ??
