SMF/upgrade error

First, I couldn't reply to another topic. this came up.

psgalaxy91, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

But on to the main problem... My smf forums gave a fatal error, so i upgraded my php to intermediate (yesterday)
Today, the smf loads occasionally - usually, I get a blank page or "internetexplorer can't display this page.."

Sometimes my page loads, usually it doesn't...

You are not allowed to reply to other support requests.

You must comment out the shell_exec function that is trying to be called in the Subs.php file inside of the Sources folder.

When it tries to call this function it displays a blank screen instead.

well, there are 2 files, a "Subs.php" and a "Subs.php~"
I think the "subs.php" is the one, but idk.

I can't put them as attachments

So I put them on Windows Live SkyDrive.

(the one on the far left is the Subs.php and on the right is Subs.php~

I've attached Subs.txt to this post. Rename it Subs.php and replace yours.

The file Subs.php~ is a backup of the original Subs.php It gets changed anytime the original does.
